Webcast: Explorer 4 Analyzer

The ideal solution for statistical process control of particulate distributions

Recorded, August 30, 2017

The Thermo Scientific™ Explorer™ 4 Analyzer is a scanning electron microscope (SEM) designed to optimize quality control, production capacity, and profitability. A variety of industries, from steel production to automotive assemblies, rely on the rugged hardware and sophisticated software of the Explorer 4 Analyzer as a fast and reliable platform for identifying particles as well as surface features.

With an Explorer 4 Analyzer system:
  • Monitoring cleanliness and identifying the contamination source in fluid systems of motor vehicles leads to reduced field failure rates and warranty costs.
  • For the production of steel and non-ferrous metals, the ability to automatically detect and classify inclusions leads to improved productivity, product quality, and major cost savings.
  • The automated solution for wear debris characterization is helping manufacturers achieve new standards of cleanliness and quality control right on the production floor.
In addition to automatically documenting thousands of particles per hour while detecting the size and shape of each particle, the Explorer 4 Analyzer Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) can also identify the elemental composition of those particles. This valuable information can help manufacturers pinpoint the exact failing part or contamination source in order to save time and money, while perfecting their manufacturing process. Additionally, the Explorer 4 Analyzer offers a practical and push-button easy-to-use system that can be tailored to your specific requirements, able to then deliver results during the first day on the production floor.
